behind a narrow dune.

Human scurrying
on scorching sand,
hysterical buzzing,
nagging,
belching and alleging,
floundering,
tumbling lengthwise,
hastily burying.
Then:
Under swaying surface:
Depth,
imperceptible undulation
over soundless rock,
numbing pulse,
endlessly stretching…
